Do you ever have one of those days when a micro bat flys into your chimney,
and then careens around your house,
And some tiny thing in your brain forgets that they bite,
so you go to gently catch it,
with a thick postage bag that you think is soft, but thick enough to protect you,
and the bat bites you. (Shoulda used a cardboard box…)
And so you have to go get the lyssavirus shots for four weeks and do the whole yadda yadda Australian bat lyssavirus treatment. (which, side note, the first case of this was found in Ballina, NSW, the next town over).
(I really dont mean to make light of it. It’s a pretty serious thing).

I recorded this song at home, in all the ways I record. But then I knew I needed some gospel golden harmonies, so I flew to Hobart, and I recorded my beautiful friend Sonia Leeson singing over her dining room table, with The Golden Girls paused in the background.
I am so glad I went there. She is Golden.
